Chopper Twirls Out of Control into Palm Trees at Popular Southern California Shoreline
A chopper soaring over a crowded southern California beach suddenly commenced twirling wildly, ultimately dropping height and smashing into a cluster of palm groves as spectators watched.
Videos posted on social media capture the chopper starting to spin above the shoreline then descending in the direction of the edge of the beach, where it becomes wedged between palm groves and a steps adjacent to the Pacific Coast highway.
Rescue Operation Information
Local firefighters reported five people were rushed to the hospital comprising a pair who were in the chopper and were “rescued from the debris” subsequent to the incident on Saturday.
Three people on the pavement were harmed. Information on their injuries were still under review.
The cause of the crash was still under investigation.
